Nottingham in Bloom 2011
Congratulations to Caitlin in Class 3 whose photograph 'In my Garden' won 2nd prize in this year's Nottingham in Bloom Photography Competition. She received her prize from the Lord Mayor Michael Wildgust during a presentation at Woodthorpe Grange Park.
Wallner Gallery exhibition June 2011
Art Club's Mexican inspired piece 'Fibbet' was on show at the Wallner Gallery at Lakeside during June. Fibbet is a pinata that has exploded releasing its treasures. It gets its name from a combination of fish and rabbit, animals which together form this fantasy creature.
RDA Championships
Congratulations to all our children who took part in the RDA regional horse riding championships this year in Grantham. Special congratulations to both David and Jason who went on to achieve 7th and 8th places in the National championships in July 2011.
Maths games for the playground
Our Maths Week competition to design maths related playground games attracted over 100 entries! Mrs Langley had a very difficult job choosing the 6 winners whose designs will be made into playing boards for our playgrounds.
