Julian Richards went to our school when it was called The Russell School. He is now a famous archaeologist.

An archaeologist is someone who's job it is to find out people and places from the past. Mr Richards also makes TV programmes about history. Have you ever watched 'Meet the Ancestors'?

Dillon in Class 2 showed Mr Richards the work that he and his group had done about the history of our school.

Mr Richards signed the work and asked Dillon whether he would like to be an archaeologist one day!

You can read more about Julian Richards and his work by clicking on his website.

We were very lucky to have Julian visit our school in November. He talked to our Year 2 children about his life at our school and about being an archaeologist. He very kindly gave us a signed book and promised to keep in touch!
